Ginger Ale Strawberries on top Toasted Baguette and topped with Whipped Cream

Berries:

Strawberries

Ginger ale

Orange Liquor (optional)

ginger slices

Lemon or Orange Zest

Base:

French Baguette – sliced, buttered, and toasted in a skillet until brown.

Butter

Sugar

Nutmeg

Fluff:

Heavy Whipping cream

1/2 t. Vanilla

to taste Sugar

Directions:

Soak berries in ginger ale, ginger slices, and orange liquor (optional) for about 30 minutes to 1 hour. Toast buttered baguette slices in a skillet. Then sprinkle with sugar and nutmeg zest – set aside. Using whisk attachment, whisk heavy whipping cream and vanilla on high and add sugar to taste. Whip until soft peaks form and or until you get whipped cream consistency.

Assembly:

Layer strawberries onto toasted baguette, dollop with whipped cream, and top with lemon or orange zest.
